Lucy is doing very well. She has not quite seemed interested in using the potty yet. But she is a very adorable and loving child and loves to watch the Wiggles. She talks very well and can express herself very well. She is enjoying school and playing with Chloe and Jaden.

Eight months since the last update. Lucy is very much a talker now. She is very good with multiple words and is starting the "twos" a little early (we suddenly have an opinion about everything). Unfortunately she is starting to notice TV (and loves Dora the Explorer). She is also starting to sing (A,B,C and Twinkle, Twinkle). Second birthday just around the corner!

Going for a Walk
Lucy is doing very well. She is moving up in her day care to the next class. Everyone comments on how pleasant and easy going she is. She does not fuss much and always very kind. She loves to pick up things and hand them to people. Shoes, bowls, pieces of paper, tissues, etc. Her first birthday party was very well attended and she seemed to have a great time. She has a new fish (named "Lucy fish" by her sister) and swims with her sister's fish ("Charlotte fish"). She has over four teeth and is not as bad as a biter as her sister was. She is walking with no problems at all and still loves stairs. We are now an outdoor baby and want to play outside whenever we can. She eats almost the same things we do (obvious things avoided) and is starting to recognize words (momma, Charlotte, dog, food, hungry) and say words (yes, no, dog, momma).

Well anothter three months have gone by with so many changes! First the recent stats: at the 9 month checkup she was 16 lbs 4 oz and 27.5 in. She is definitely a thin girl as that height puts right in the middle (50th percentile) but her weight puts her near the bottom (about 10th percentile). Nothing to worry about as she is as healthy as you need her to be! She has two teeth (we thought they would never come) and within a week she learned to go from crawling, to standing, to climbing stairs(!). Now she is learning to toddle holding onto something and is trying to stand without help.

The girls play quite well (when Lucy is not touching Charlotte's things) and Dexter has learned the art of self defense with a baby who wants to grab fur - lick the face and run. We purchased studio photos but the prints do not scan well (the texture of the print causes the scanner to reflect light like crazy). I put the only one that came out halfway decent below.

Lucy is doing quite well. We just started baby food (after a few weeks of formula and baby cereal) and we're not too sure on those green beans. She can almost sit up on her own (still flops over a lot) and we want to grab EVERYTHING (especially those things that belong to our sister). She adores her sister and will laugh at anything Charlotte does. When Charlotte runs in circles around the house she will just sit and stare and wait for her to come around the corner. She has quite an explosive laughter and babbles quite a lot. Her last check up (two months ago) put here at almost 13 pounds and 24 and a half inches.

Okay ... I'm a bit behind on the pictures. So I've done a bulk of them a hope that makes up for it. She is almost three months! Her baptism is due this weekend and is she ever ready. It took her a bit to get a rhythm going for napping but since the last update she's been sleeping through the night like a champ. She just started day care with her big sister last week and she seems to be doing well. At her two month check up she was 10 pounds (70th percentile) and 22 and a half inches long (50th percentile). She is doing well by laughing a lot more and grabbing fingers and hair. She loves to watch her big sister run amok and enjoys lying on her parent's bed and watch the fan turn. All in all she's a perfect child. Just like her big sis. The pictures cover a wide range so I tried to put them in chronological order.

Six weeks (and change)! Lucy has been doing very well. We are beginning to work on sleeping well and she has surprised us by sleeping as much as nine hour stretches at night! Of course this gets her up at 6 am and that is a bit early. Usually she goes back down (usually). We have been taking pictures but not with the digital camera. A roll is being processed and another update should be soon. Her baby acne is gone and she is fighting a bit of the cradle's cap. Other than that she is a fun baby and winning hearts everywhere.

Fifteen days and she is a doll. We have a good sleeping schedule going. She scream ... we wake. Actually she is going three to four hour stretches at night. The fun is when she'll go down. We are constantly amazed at how much she looks like Charlotte. The hair is a different color (more like mom's) but the face and especially the nose is just like this picture from when Charlotte was the same age. Her first check up went well and she is 6 oz. over her birth weight.

Announcing the name of our newest family member Lucy Estella Sturr. Few more pictures from the big day. Her hair color is starting to look a lot like her mom's. She comes home tomorrow (April 11) and the grandparents come Sunday. Expect more pictures later...

Announcing the birth of our newest family member. She is quite a looker and not a big cryer (!!!). We are still working on a name for her. We should be deciding soon. For now she is just "cutie". Mother is doing very well and no Caesarean!
